I agree 100%...they are smarter than the Ruskies and have figured out "why think war? Just buy the place". I think we should tax the hell out of everything from China, instead of taxing Americans, and then maybe American Plants could reopen and hire American workers to make American products to sell to Americans  ;D

I like the Documentary Channel and there's been one running about Nelly Don... a lady who started with nothing and built a clothing empire and made millions between the 20's and the 50's. In WWII she made all the women's uniforms and mens underwear and socks & through the whole war of her own choice would not make a penny profit from the US Government for the whole 4 years feeling it was her part of the war effort (after making it through the depression without laying off one worker). She didn't make or lose money; just charged the government exactly what it cost to make each item. Don't see American's like that any more...wonder what would happen if they told Haliburton they had to work that way? Bet Haliburton would end the war in Iraq on it's own in 90 days  >:(

Did we forget they are our enemy?

Recently with the pet food thing and now that substance has entered the human food chain in California at least in pork products through hog feed why won't China allow the FDA to inspect the sources of these materials?  >:(

Did you know that virtually ALL vitamin C and much of many other vitamins come from China. Look at your kid's cereal...any vitamin C added to anything? Only 4 companies in China control most all of the world's vitamin C an in the last year a little price fixing (not illegal in the communist countries) jumped the price of raw vitamin C from $2 per kilogram to over $10. And there is no quality or safety requirements or inspections at all on these suppliers. Their plants could be processing our vitamin C with pond water from behind the plant for all we know.
It's up to US companies to check it but do they really do that before they put in the bins to be added to all those products or especially to go into a $4 bottle destined for the "store brand" someplace? I doubt it.

Has everybody in the world but me forgot that until Nixon went over there (to try to save his faltering image at the time) they were our sworn enemy and they (unlike Russia) still have the same government. Their view of us hasn't changed, so why try to beat our military. Look at what else they can do to our economy, our food supply etc.
It would be unbelievable what would happen if we said for "6 months NO imports of any kind from China" imagine all the bare store shelves...and not just cheap shoes & DVD players but the grocery aisles too!

WHY ARE WE SELLING OUR COUNTRY TO OUR ENEMY?
After all they have never changed their political viewpoint or their government since the days of the "cold war". All that has changed is trade agreements.
The same as selling one's soul to the devil it seems... :(
