I'm kind-of a Libertarian at heart I guess but am staunchly independent, preferring the person to the party (since both of the "big 2" stink the same)
I kind-of like Ron Paul's views that we should bring all the troops home from everywhere (like before WW2) no Iraq, no Japan, no Korea, no Germany, etc. then the huge reduction is cost for the military of "defending" our nation (it's job according to the Constitution) could be used to bail out the current social security system and a new SSI system started where all the new people starting work would actually have their money in a true "trust fund" the Congress couldn't borrow from to keep making the debt look lower.

Although I have other concerns too, my greatest concern is the failed 2 party system. I prefer to vote 3rd party in the hope enough people will also do the same some day. I do feel this is the only way we will ever see any changes to the better.
