93 days...that's how long the House worked so far this year, an all time record low in all of US history...man I wish I could get that salary and benefits for working 93 days, taking off the whole month of August, coming back in September and then taking off again the month of October to go home & drum up votes...I thought they got paid for voting in Washington but they aren;'t there enough to do anything! Of course there are no pressing issues for them to be worried about working on...

I would love to have a job that I would get paid for to go around telling everyone what a wonderful job I am doing to let me keep it. They should just get paid like when they are just on the clock...

Ridiculously low minimum wage?  I can't hire anyone for minimum wage.  If I was to offer less than $8 hr for an entry level job, no one would apply. 
Minimum wage laws don't do anything to fight poverty.  Most poor people make more than minimum wage.  Most minimum wage earners aren't poor - they live with their parents in $150,000 houses.

Well it's time for the annual summer vacation for Congress...makes me wonder, since they haven't done any real "work" this year what are they taking a vacation from...
We all know it's that August chance to go home and drum up November votes.

Ask some tough questions if they are in your town, shout if you have to...what is YOUR representative going to do to represent your feelings about ANWR, Iraq, Hezbollah, global warming, that ridiculously low minimum wage they look like they are going to pass, immigration, paying taxes to the UN  , whatever...ask and if they say the right thing and get your vote let them know you will hold them to it!
